Killed when the helicopter she was flying crashed while supporting combat operations in Anbar providence, Iraq. 7 other military members on the helicopter also died in the crash.

Corporal Parcell was conducting female searches as part of the Lioness Program, which provides female Marines for searches of Iraqi women to respect Muslim cultural morals. While conducting searches in Barwana, Iraq, a woman she was searching blew herself up with a suicide vest.
